- Ithaca-Tompkins County Hiking Site — a privately developed site with heaps of info about trails of all kinds and links to even more.
- Ithaca-Tompkins County Transportation Council — this is the city agency that deals with things like bicycle transportation and general development of alternative transportation modalities. Lots of interesting facts and maps.
- Multi-Use Trails in Tompkins County — a map (very large PDF!) of existing trails, planned trails, and trails currently under development. This is a working document, so if we don’t update it for a while, be sure to check the Transportation Council (above) to learn what’s new.
- Wikipedia: Trails in Ithaca, New York — a thorough survey of the wealth of trails around us with quite a bit of good background info.
- Finding Ulysses is a blog for the Ulysses/Trumansburg area and has several good pieces about the BDT trail work days: From 2006, “30 Show Up To Clear the Black Diamond Trail;” From 2007, “Black Diamond Trail Work is ON!” and “Black Diamond Trail Work Session Goes Well” (nice pix, including one of Jan Zeserson feeding info to the Ithaca Journal reporter).
