Great trail! I hope they get the bridges put in soon, so it’s easier to use.

I attended the Ulysses Town Board meeting last week. I came away thinking that it would be important to get Doug Austic’s commitment in writing. It would be something solid to show the state officials and it would be there to remind Doug of his promise. Verbal support is great, but I think it really is necessary to get written support from the involved municipalities.

Hi, My wife and I live in the Rochester area and are interested in the BD RR and trail. We have traveled on the Lehigh and BD trail in the Rochester area by bicycle and really love it. Do you know if the trail will connect from here to your area in Ithica?? We have photos of the trail on this end and can e-mail some of them if you would like us to. They were just taken this month (July, 2008)

I wonder if we have to form a planning group independent of Parks — the trail could be put into excellent, usable condition (apart from the bridges) by volunteer labor, but I don’t think Parks can be seen to be responsible for this kind of “short-cut” implementation.
